Renting a vehicle in Uganda, you must be between 18 and 70 years of age with a valid driving permit for the past two years and have got no endorsements. Must have a copy of your passport, full contact details, driving license and an advance payment of 20% to be able to confirm your booking and reserve the car  for the period selected. Balance of the car hire has to be paid before commencement of service. Those that are 75 years and above should not drive and should always tell the true since are restrictions might apply in some locations.

The minimum rental period is 24 hours and this means that any rental period less than 24 hours requires a whole day rate.

About inclusions and exclusions in the final price of the rental car; the following are included in the price; VAT, drivers, unlimited mileage, 24 hour’s road assistance, maintenance and the local taxes. There are special rates and terms that might apply for the long term rentals and minimum is usually 30 days. Car rental rates exclude; fuel, personal insurance, one way rental fees, child seats, parking fees and the special equipment.

About the additional drivers; rental cars might be driven by more than 2 drivers apart from the main driver. However, the charges apply for the additional drivers which might be bought at the time of reservation.  The added drivers should meet the age and license requirements at the time of rental and must be registered in the rental agreement. But in case an accident occurs with non registered driver, the insurance is usually void.

The infant or child booster seats must be on request at the time of booking and these are always put at an extra cost per day depending on the number of rental days.

Always provide the flight details including; the flight number, arrival time and departure. In case the rental car is not available at the time of booking, ensure to inform us of these seven days to your departure. This information has to be provided and allows the staff to be ready for your arrival.

Collection and delivery; There is no fees applicable when picking and dropping off the car at the company offices and during working days. In the case you want to pick and drop off the car at the hotel or out of city limits, there might be a fee that applies.

The vehicle models; there are certain makes and models of vehicles that are not allowed and the needed group and specifications would be allowed. The car hire company reserves the right to change the vehicle type to a similar or higher car under circumstances beyond control.

Delayed return or Early return of the vehicle; the delayed return of the vehicle is charged 1/3 of the daily rate for each hour. If it’s more than 3 hours, it will be considered as an extra day. However, there are refunds on early returns for the vehicles returned before the specified return time and date written in the rental agreement.

The condition of the vehicle; these are supposed to be returned at the same condition as they are rented. If you return the car with more fuel than at the pickup time, you have no refund made, but in case there is a cleaning needed, it might be charged at return.

Fuel policy; the car hire vehicles are not offered full tank, so the clients should return the car as it’s hired. In case the car is returned with more fuel than at pick up, there will be no refund. But the clients can request for a pre paid full tank at the time of booking.
